Artist Statement
Art, for me, emerged in conjunction with my exploration of ideas. In particular, as I delved into the feminine face of the divine, I began to depict images using cloth as my medium, laying down color with cloth rather than pigment. After a time I found myself working with computer graphics and was delighted by the similarity of procedure for developing design and choosing color in both mediums. Web design refined that even further, defining the color choices much like choosing colors available in fabric.
